Hooks man killed in motorcycle accident on FM 2148

A Hooks, Texas man has died from injuries received when his motorcycle crashed into a car on FM 2148 Monday morning.

According to Texas DPS Trooper Sylvia Jennings, troopers responded to the crash around 11:25 a.m. Monday on FM 2148 approximately a quarter mile wast of Carol Lane.

According to Jennings, the preliminary crash investigation indicates that a Toyota Tundra pulling a trailer, was traveling west making a left turn onto a private drive. “A Honda motorcycle, operated by Kodi Kolieo Scott, 23, of Hooks, Texas, was also traveling west on FM-2148 approaching the Toyota pickup and trailer,” said Jennings. “The motorcycle went into side skid before colliding with both the pickup and trailer.”

Kodi Scott was transported to St. Michael Hospital and then airlifted to Baptist Medical Center Hospital in Little Rock where he was pronounced dead at 9:07 p.m. by Dr. Michael Pollock.

This crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
