A 51 year old Texarkana, Arkansas man was killed in a major motorcycle crash in Genoa, Arkansas Thursday evening.
The wreck occurred about 8:00 p.m. on Miller County Road 290 just off Genoa Road.
According to an Arkansas State Police preliminary fatal crash report Lloyd E. Atwood, 51, of Texarkana, Ar. was killed in the crash. He was riding a 2005 Honda motorcycle.
According to the report Atwood was traveling north on MC 290 when he failed to negotiate a right curve and struck a tree in the left ditch.
Atwood was pronounced dead on scene by Miller County Coroner Eddie Hawkins at 9:45 p.m.
Four local residents have died in motorcycle accidents in the last two weeks.
