Texarkana Natives to Act in SAU Students Version of “A Christmas Carol”

MAGNOLIA, AR (11/06/2014)(readMedia)— Charles Dickson’s “A Christmas Carol” will be Southern Arkansas University’s second play of the 2014-15 season, and 33 SAU students will be part of the production.

The following students are going to be part of the production:

  • Robert Morris of Texarkana, Texas who is a senior Theatre major.
  • Daniel Spiropoulos of Texarkana, Texas who is a freshman Biological Science major.
  • Kailee Walker of Texarkana, Texas who is a sophomore Early Childhood Education major.

“A Christmas Carol” will be running December 4-7, 2014, in SAU’s Harton Theater. On Dec. 4, the show is running in conjunction with SAU’s annual Celebration of Lights. The play will begin at 8 p.m following the Celebration of Lights dinner. On Dec. 5-7, the play starts at 7 p.m. nightly.

SAU Director of Theater Clayton Guiltner believes the family-friendly production will be a highlight of the season.

“The show will be complete with all of the sights and sounds of Christmas. The production will include beautiful, traditional Christmas hymns and carols sung by our cast, as well as many surprises in our scenic and lighting elements that will make for a very attractive spectacle for our audiences,” he said.
