The City of Texarkana, Texas has released their summer 2016 schedule for various Parks and Recreation activities, including Summer Camp, opening date for the Splash Pad and Movies In The Park.
Summer Camp 2016 runs from June 20th-July 22nd, open to ages 6-14 and will feature fun activities such as arts, crafts, sports, games and field trips. Registration for Summer Camp begins May 23rd at the Southwest Center. Registration for camp is $150.00 and will include breakfast and lunch each day. The first 25 campers will be accepted. Camp will be closed the week of July 4th-July 8th.
Movies in the Park will take place in Spring Lake Park. The summer 2016 lineup of family-friendly movies will start at 7:45 p.m. and will include:
May 19th Goosebumps
May 26th Inside Out
June 2nd The Peanuts Movie
June 9th Kung Fu Panda 3
The Splash Pad will open May 27th, weather permitting.
