Texarkana Woman Involved in Crash Dies

TEXARKANA, TEXAS – A Texarkana Texas woman has died after being involved in a motor vehicle crash earlier this week. Christina Pettit, 36, died last night at Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

Texarkana Texas Police responded to a motor vehicle crash at 3:50 on Monday afternoon in the 3000 block of Buchanan Road. Pettit was driving a 2010 Toyota Corolla northbound on Buchanan Road when the vehicle rear ended a 1997 BMW Z3, operated by Travis Moon, 66, of Texarkana Texas. Moon had stopped in the northbound lane of traffic, waiting to make a left turn into a private drive.

Pettit and Moon were transported to Christus Saint Michael Hospital by LifeNet ambulance. Pettit was transferred to Parkland Hospital on Tuesday and died there last night.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. The crash remains under investigation.
