Texarkana woman killed in hit-and-run

Arkansas State Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that left a Texarkana, Ark. woman dead early Thursday morning.

Casey McCarley, 35, of Texarkana, Ark., was struck and killed by a 2000 GMC pickup traveling north on County Road 22, according to a fatal crash report.

Lucas McCarley has been arrested on charges of negligent homicide, felony possession of a controlled substance, felony drug paraphernalia and DWI, according to information from Miller County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the report the accident happened at 12:57 a.m. at the intersection of Miller County Road 22 and 249.

According to jail records Lucas McCarley was checked into Miller County Jail at 9:57 a.m. Thursday.

The report indicates that an active investigation is pending.
