Texas High School sophomore Nirav Neupane has been named the winner of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge for Texas’ First District, marking his second consecutive victory in the competition.

Congressman Nathaniel Moran announced Neupane’s win on Tuesday, recognizing the student for his app called LionLang, which uses artificial intelligence to help users practice public speaking.

“For the second year in a row, Nirav has shown true skill and expertise in his computer science and app creation,” Moran said. “His app, LionLang, innovates communication through AI technology. Users can interactively practice speeches, track their progress, and receive feedback on pacing, pausing, and storytelling.”
