Truck rear-ends semi-truck in I-30 construction zone near Fulton

A major accident on Interstate 30 near Fulton, Ark. had traffic moving slowing than normal in the work area Tuesday.  The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

According to an on scene witness a truck pulling a camper trailer did not stop when traffic stopped due to the work zone and ran into the back of a semi-truck.

According to a witness who rendered aid, the man was walking after being extricated from the vehicle by firefighters.  The man was transported to a local hospital by LifeNet.

This is the second major accident in the work zone within the last week.  Arkansas highway officials expect the construction to last for around 6 months.
