Woman Leads Police on Chase after Allegedly Stealing TV

Texarkana, Texas Police arrested Jacquelyn Griffie, 52, after she allegedly stole a TV from Walmart and led officers on a pursuit today.

According to Texarkana, Texas, Police Department public information officer, Shawn Vaughn, police received a report of theft just occurred at Walmart. An officer was in Walmart parking lot at the time and quickly spotted the Dodge Nitro as it was leaving the area.

Police got behind the vehicle and attempted to do a traffic stop on New Boston Road. However, the vehicle continued without stopping.

“Officers pursued the vehicle to a house in the 1200 block of Pierre where the driver opened her garage with the garage door opener and drove into the garage. Officers quickly exited their vehicles and ordered the driver to get out of the vehicle. She initially refused but was quickly taken into custody,” Vaughn said.

Jacquelyn Griffie, 52, was arrested for Evading Arrest and Theft over $50 under $500 and was transported to the Texarkana Jail.
