The University of Arkansas Cossatot recently hired two UA Cossatot graduates, Jocelin Galvez and Daniel Martinez.

Galvez joins the college as College Recruiter. She is a 2013 graduate of De Queen High School and 2015 graduate of UA Cossatot, earning her Associate of Science. Her primary role as recruiter is reaching out to area students and community members about opportunities that UA Cossatot provides to further training and education. She is available for speaking engagements and vendor fairs.

Martinez, from Lockesburg, joins the college as Marketing Coordinator. He is a 2008 graduate of Lockesburg High School and a 2010 UA Cossatot graduate earning his Associate of Arts degree. Martinez brings five years of marketing and photography experience to his role as Marketing Coordinator. In this role, Martinez contributes to marketing campaigns, designs promotional materials, provides event support, and manages all the college’s social media accounts.

Both Martinez and Galvez accepted positions at UA Cossatot to give back to the institution that they see played a vital part in their personal success.

“Having a community college close to home helped start my education without hesitation,” Galvez explains.

“I wanted to save money and work on my basics before I went off to a four-year school right after high school. UA Cossatot was exactly what I needed. I am excited to share my experiences with others and help guide those who are interested in continuing their education.”

Martinez, a supporter of the UA Cossatot Foundation and local business owner, is committed to the success of his community.

He explains, “UA Cossatot does so much for our communities. From the Loceksburg Gym remodel to offering scholarships, the college does everything possible to improve Southwest Arkansas.”

“Taking this Marketing Coordinator role is just one more way I can help my community grow and become an even better place to live!”
