The University of Arkansas Cossatot has been named third, based on affordability and quality, of all online colleges and programs in the nation by AffordableColleges.com.
Specifically, the online Associate of General Studies program is recognized as an ideal way to earn college credits needed to achieve a Bachelor’s degree.
“An online associate degree in general studies is an affordable way to begin your career, offering a strong return on investment and minimal time commitment,” the site states.
Often students refer to this route of obtaining credits before transferring to a university as “getting their basics.” Around 70% of UA Cossatot students attend the college with this goal.
The site ranked UA Cossatot just under Cochise County Community College District and Arkansas Northeastern College in affordability.
UA Cossatot Vice Chancellor of Academics Ashley Aylett remarked, “We as an entire college made this happen.”
“No matter if a UAC staff person teaches and advises students, does billing, awards financial aid, provides tutoring, or maintains our facilities and computers – they all play a vital part.”
