UofA Hope-Texarkana names new Dean of Business, Technology, & Education Division

Edward Lamb, a native of Glasgow, Scotland, has been named the new Dean of the Business, Technology, and Education Division at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana. Mr. Lamb has worked in most regions of the United Kingdom, Belgium and the Netherlands as a banker and financial consultant. He met his wife Jo in December 1999 in Florence, South Carolina, and they then moved to Texarkana, Texas, where Jo had just accepted a position at a local university.

Mr. Lamb continued his banking career as a manager and lender in both Arkansas and Texas, and at the same time earned his Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science and Master of Science in Business Administration degrees from Texas A&M University-Texarkana where he went on to teach in the College of Business. In addition, he also taught business for Arkansas Tech University. In 2013 Edward was offered a full-time teaching assignment for the University of Charleston in West Virginia where he taught in the Masters of Business Administration Program.

When asked why he chose to enter the field of education, Lamb stated, “For me, it’s not simply a job, it’s a passion; to be able to be a part of a student’s success means everything to me.”
