TexAmericas Center announced February 3 it has received a Rural Business Development Grant from the United States Department of Agriculture to support business growth and job creation in the Texarkana region.
The industrial park operator will use the federal funds to support feasibility studies and provide technical assistance for small and emerging companies considering locations in the Texarkana region. The initiative aims to reduce barriers to entry for employers and accelerate time-to-market for new tenants.
“This USDA investment helps us move faster and support employers earlier in their decision-making process,” said Scott Norton, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of TexAmericas Center. “By putting resources behind feasibility work and hands-on technical assistance, we can help companies shorten their path to operations, while driving quality jobs and new private investment for our region.”
The Rural Business Development Grant program is a competitive federal initiative designed to strengthen rural economies through business and community development activities, including planning and technical assistance.
TexAmericas Center’s grant-supported initiatives may eventually expand through coordination with local colleges and workforce boards to inform targeted training programs, as well as export readiness or cybersecurity assistance for rural manufacturers.
Located in New Boston, Texas, TexAmericas Center operates one of the largest mixed-use industrial parks in the United States with approximately 12,000 development-ready acres. Business Facilities magazine ranked it the fifth-best industrial park in the country in 2025.
