Wilbur Smith Rotary opens scholarship opportunity for local grads

During the routinely scheduled Thursday meeting, the entire club voted unanimously upon modifying scholarship allocations from the Rotary Flag Project and Wilbur Smith Rotary Club’s Community Foundation Grant to benefit the enclosed institutions as such.

 

  • Texarkana College $500.00 Undergraduate ($250/semester) 
  • University of Arkansas Texarkana $500.00 Undergraduate ($250/semester)
  • Texas A&M University Texarkana $500.00 Undergraduate ($250/semester)
  • Texas A&M University Texarkana $4,500.00 (3) Graduate ($750/semester)

 

 

Graduate Student scholarships include  one year of FREE Wilbur Smith Rotary Club Membership, a wonderful opportunity for a local graduate student to become immersed in the social network of the business community.

Scholarship acceptance will be contingent upon student’s commitment to attend no less than 50% of Rotary meetings every Thursday at noon (food is served!) and to participate in no less than 3 flag day projects (flag delivery, construction, or loading).

Undergraduate Scholarship eligibility based on individual institutions’ discretion.

Graduate Scholarship eligibility contingent on a 3.0 GPA during Undergraduate School (for 1st year graduate students) or a current 3.0 GPA for students currently enrolled.
