Wrong-way driver causes wrecks on Interstate 30

2:30 p.m. Thursday | A wrong-way driver on eastbound Interstate 30 caused three vehicles to wreck Thursday afternoon just west of Leary, Texas.

One driver hit the center wire divider avoiding the wrong-way vehicle and two others had a minor collision.

Witnesses told police that the wrong-way driver exited on Spur 74, but police have so far been unable to locate the vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

C-5 & Hooks Volunteer Fire Departments worked the accident.

UPDATE – According to Bowie County Sheriff’s Deputy Kenny McMillen, the driver of the wrong-way vehicle has been located.  He was an elderly man who was lost.

McMillen said that,  “I made sure he got back home safely without any further incidents.”
