Billie Sue Crane, age 81, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, at her home while surrounded by her loved ones.
Billie was born on June 24, 1944, in Houston, TX, to her parents, Wallace and Susie Aldridge. Billie will be remembered for her deep appreciation of the outdoors and the time she spent camping and enjoying nature. She cherished being with her family and found great joy in preparing and sharing home-cooked meals and baked goods with those she loved. Billie shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Gus, who was a constant and treasured companion. She also enjoyed quiet moments watching some of her favorite television shows.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Bobby Alridge.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Sam Crane; two children, Susan Neal and husband Scott, Steve Crane and wife Shelly; her grandchildren, Micah Neal, Maygan Wall, Marc Neal, Aaron Crane, Hayden Crane, and Kara Garvin; 20 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; her sister, Beverly Redkey; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Chapelwood Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00.
Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
