Clinton Scott Otwell, age 66, of Texarkana, Arkansas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at his home.

Scott was born on August 3, 1959, in DeQueen, Arkansas. He was employed with Christus St. Michaels and was a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church. He was employed by Christus St. Michael’s Health Care System and previously worked for Ross Perot Data Systems.

He enjoyed all kinds of music, with a particular love for classical music. Scott had a special love for animals. He also loved playing the piano and was self-taught on the organ. His family was the most important part of his life, and he was deeply devoted to making sure his mother was well cared for. He was known for his quiet nature and strong independence. He took great joy in making Christmas special and ensuring there were plenty of gifts for his nephews, great-nephews, and great-niece. Scott attended every baseball and football game for his nephews, cheering them on as their biggest fan. He encouraged them to continually improve and strive to achieve their goals.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clinton and Anita Otwell, and his brother-in-law, Larry Crank.

He is survived by his two sisters, Kaye Crank of Texarkana, Arkansas; and Tammy Carter of Lewisville, Texas; two nephews, Patton Crank and his wife, Alison, and Cameron Crank and his wife, Mariah of Texarkana, Arkansas; two great-nephews, Jace and Isaac Crank, and one great niece, Megan Crank, and several other relatives.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 5, 2026, at Memorial Gardens with Rev. Clark Colbert officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
