Donald Ray Anderson, Jr, better known as Ray or Ray Ray to his friends & Family, was born June 11, 1965, in Redding, California, and took his Heavenly flight on February 25, 2026, in Texarkana, Arkansas, at the age of 60 years old.
Ray was born to Donald & Linda Anderson. He loved sports, and in his younger years, he was active in playing and coaching softball for several years. He was known as the pitcher that wore the quirky hats. He also enjoyed playing cards and would get together with friends and have a fun time with them. Ray worked for Almost Everything for 24 years.
Ray was preceded in death by four children, Misty, Christy, Jackie Ray, and Michael McCurdy; and his dad Donald Anderson, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Mary McCurdy; his mother Linda Anderson; brother Gregg Anderson (Tina) and sister Sheri Garrett (JD). He is also survived by three daughters, Summer Anderson (Donald), Callie Anderson, Miranda Carlton (Jordan) and one son Steven Lawrence, 9 Grandchildren Jessen Jones, Kilea Jo & Kaleb Lawrence, Jaxen & Aiden Williams, Brently, Astella, Ellie Mae Anderson & Kaison McCurdy.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Chapelwood Funeral Home, Nash, TX. Visitation will start at 1:00 P.M. with the funeral service beginning at 2pm. Ray will be laid to rest at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
