Harold Ray Scott, age 94, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025. He was born on September 2, 1931, in Texarkana to Iva Marie and Homer Scott, and he spent his life rooted in the community he called home.
Harold was a hardworking man who took great pride in his many years as a sheet metal fabricator with Wrights Brothers Sheet Metal and Roofing. Known for his dependability and skill, he believed in earning an honest living and doing things the right way.
Outside of work, Harold found joy in the outdoors. He especially loved golf and duck hunting, appreciating the quiet moments and simple pleasures that came with being outside. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, his reserved nature, and the wisdom he shared through example rather than words.
Harold honorably served his country in the United States Navy, a chapter of his life he carried with quiet pride.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris Jean Scott, whose memory he held close; and his parents, Iva Marie and Homer Scott.
Left to cherish his memory are brother Tommy Scott; sister Ruth Middleton; a number of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will remember him for his loyalty, kindness, and the life lessons he passed on simply by how he lived.
A graveside service to honor Harold’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Memorial Garden Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Northwood Cemetery, 5800 Richmond Road, Texarkana, Texas.
