June 25, 1949 – May 28, 2026
Sharon Marie Ethridge, age 76, was called to her eternal home on May 28, 2026. She was born on June 25, 1949, in Carmel, California. Later in life, Sharon relocated to Texas and then Arkansas, where she would spend the rest of her life at her home she treasured and named “Celestial Acres”.
She was a devoted homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She found great joy in God’s creations and spent much of her life nurturing the beauty around her. With an extraordinary knowledge of plants and flowers, she was a true master gardener.
Sharon had a vibrant and bubbly personality. She had a special gift for lifting the spirits of others and always sought to bring joy, laughter, and encouragement to those around her. She loved sunshine, babies, treasured time with family, shopping, getting her nails done, her fuzzy blankets and anything sparkly.
She also took great pride in decorating her home for all seasons and holidays and loved hosting family and friends. At Easter she would playfully sing, “some bunny loves you” – just one of her many sweet sayings. She spent countless hours tending to her plants and could name every one of them. On yard cleanup day, if she heard a chainsaw, she was quick to jump up and run outside to make sure her babies were protected.
Sharon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life and guided everything she did. She found strength, peace, and joy through her beliefs and lived her life with kindness, service, and love for others.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Jenkins; her mother, Rosalie Young; her brother, Hugh Jenkins Jr.; and her first husband, Joseph Marandola.
She is survived by her loving husband, Curtis Ethridge who faithfully protected and cared for her; her children, Jill Marandola, of Antioch, CA, Joey Marandola (wife Melissa), of Pleasant Hill, CA, Tammy Jordan (husband Jamie), of Antioch, CA and Sara Vanderver (husband Gerald), of Clayton, CA; her stepchildren, Sherena Snyder (husband Terry), and Jason Ethridge, all of Texarkana, TX.
Sharon is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Hoffman, of Hydesville, CA and Julie Schwab (husband Ronald), of Redding, CA as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends.
Above all else, Sharon adored her family including her children and grandchildren. Her family was one of her greatest blessings, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her warmth, cheerful spirit, and laughter will truly be missed but we are comforted in knowing that we will see her soon!

I adore this beautiful lady. One of my dear friends in Texarkana, first to welcome me and invite my family in to her heart. She showed me around and made me laugh. I will miss her on this side of the veil. In my heart forever beautiful lady.
