Tommy Potts, age 80, of Texarkana, Arkansas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Potts was born August 8, 1940 in Lewisville, Arkansas. He was a retired sub-contractor. He began each day with the reading of the 23rd Psalm. He was faithful to his family and to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, of forty-eight years, Barbara Jean Potts; one son, Floyd Ward; three great grandsons, Layton Potts, Hunter Potts, Cliff-don Rapper; one granddaughter, Amber Potts; two brothers, Richard Potts and Billy Joe Potts; two sisters, Martha Potts and Valerie Potts.
He is survived by five daughters and two sons-in-law, Jacquie Potts of Texarkana, Arkansas, April and Terry Potts of Fouke, Arkansas; Deborah Crowder of Henderson North Carolina; Rainey and Richard George of Texarkana, Arkansas; Felecia Dellinger of Texarkana, Texas; five sons and daughters in-law, Kevin and Melissa Potts of Texarkana, Arkansas; Tom and Julie Potts of Texarkana, Arkansas, Tim and Candi Potts of Texarkana, Arkansas, Cliff Potts of Texarkana, Arkansas, Matt and Doreen Potts of Texarkana, Arkansas; one brother, Chester Potts of Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters, Lola Arrowood, Audrey Lucero and Linnie Webber all of Phoenix, Arizona; thirty-six grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, and thirteen great-great grandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas Chapel with Rusty Gilliam officiating. Burial will be at Wooten Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
