William “Bill” Leon Briggs, age 67, of Fouke, Arkansas, died Saturday, January 3, 2026, in a local hospital surrounded by his family.
Bill was born on June 14, 1958, in Rosemead, California, and lived in Fouke most of his life.
He was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Bill was a Christian. He was known for his funny sense of humor, warm personality, and ability to make others laugh. He loved being outdoors, and especially hunting, with his best friend Jeff. He also had a deep love for music. He enjoyed singing and listening to all types of music, especially classical music, which brought him comfort and happiness throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Francis Briggs.
He is survived by two sons, Chance Briggs of Fouke, Arkansas; Dillon Briggs of Texas; three daughters, Brandie Cupples of Somerset, Wisconsin and Colleen Carter of Stephens, Arkansas; and Brittany Rupe of Pratt, Kansas; one sister, Shary Elder of Texarkana, Arkansas, and one brother, Jim Briggs of Fouke, Arkansas; six grandchildren, a good friend, Jeff Griffin of Fouke, Arkansas and his two former wives, Sharon Briggs of Atlanta, Texas and Brenda Blankenship of Pratt, Kansas, and a host of friends and other relatives.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
