Man Arrested for Assault on a Public Servant

Texarkana, Texas Police responded to a shoplifter in progress call at a business in the 2400 block of Richmond Road.

Officer Elane Cochran arrived on scene and observed a male subject that matched the description of the suspect exiting the store. Officer Cochran attempted to detain the suspect, identified as Kenneth Wilson, 31, of New Boston Texas. Wilson struck Officer Cochran. An off-duty Texarkana Arkansas Police Officer observed the incident and helped Officer Cochran subdue Wilson.
