Construction is soon to start on a new section of Pavilion Parkway that will connect the road to McKnight Road. The new intersection of Pavilion Pkwy. and Gibson Rd. will also be turned into a roundabout intersection.
According to project engineer Kayla Wood of MTG Engineers, construction of the new section of road should start in early July and be complete in April.
“The round-about construction will be scheduled to not interfere with Holiday Traffic,” said Wood. “Our hope is to have the round-about portion complete before November.”
“The intersection should remain fully usable during construction, as we will only work on portions of it at a time and keeping other portions functional.”
McKnight widening construction is currently scheduled to begin in July 2017.
