Arkansas State Police Investigating After Miller County Inmate Dies in Custody

On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at approximately 07:23 a.m., inmate Shelly Lang, age 53, was found in her cell unresponsive, according to Miller County Sheriff Wayne Easley.

Easley said Life Net was notified and life saving measures were administered to no avail. As with all in custody deaths, Arkansas State police was notified and will be conducting the investigation.
