Alzheimer’s Alliance Tri-State Area Welcomes Jennifer Unger as Executive Director

TEXARKANA, Texas — Alzheimer’s Alliance Tri-State Area has announced the appointment of Jennifer Unger as its new executive director, a role in which she will lead the organization’s mission of supporting individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, as well as their families and caregivers throughout the Texarkana area.

Unger brings more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and public outreach, along with a strong commitment to serving the community. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a passion for advocacy, program development, fundraising, and building meaningful partnerships that improve the lives of those in the region.

“We are excited to welcome Jennifer Unger to the Alzheimer’s Alliance family,” said Mark Van Herpen, chair of the board of directors. “Her leadership, vision, and dedication to serving others makes her an outstanding choice to guide our organization into its next chapter. We look forward to working together to expand our impact and continue providing essential services to families affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.”

As executive director, Unger will oversee the organization’s operations, programs, fundraising efforts, community outreach, and strategic planning. She will work closely with staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners to strengthen support services and increase awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia-related challenges.
