Regina Gaye Gratzinger, age 71, of Texarkana, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 21, 2026.
Regina was born on June 1, 1955, in Seneca, South Carolina. Regina was always optimistic, maintaining her positive spirit throughout the many challenges she faced in life. “She refused to let Multiple Sclerosis define her. She rose above every occasion and became a force to be reckoned with.” She approached each day with strength, grace, and determination that inspired those around her. Regina had a deep love for animals, who held a special place in her heart. She was deeply loved by her three daughters, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with their mother.
Regina was a devoted homemaker who dedicated herself to meeting her children’s needs. She took great pride in being there for them through every season of life. Her daughters made sure that the love and devotion she had given them throughout their lives were returned to her in her final days. They surrounded her with the same love, care, and comfort she had always given them. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Laura Hairston, and one sister, Sheila Hairston.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Jaime and Don Maddox of Texarkana, Arkansas; Hilary and David Bowden of McNab, Arkansas; and Dianna and Joseph Kavanaugh of San Diego, California; one brother and sister-in-law, Marc and Kristy Hairston of Jacksonville, North Carolina, eleven grandchildren, Taylor, Robert, Racheal, Junius, Lauren, Alayna, Christopher, Gabriel, Rayden, Alena, and Connor; ten great-grandchildren, Kynlee, Audrey, Spirit, Sarai, Jackson, Coen, Gabriel, Axle, Solomon and baby bump Cozart and relatives.
