Whitetail Roundup at Wright Patman Lake

Whitetail Properties hosts the inaugural Whitetail Roundup on opening day of Texas general deer season, Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at North Shore Park on Wright Patman Lake. The free, family-friendly event is open to all ages, and no hunting experience is needed.

Hunters can come out after their opening-morning hunt and bring their harvest for youth and adult deer contests and antler scoring. The day also includes deer cleaning and processing demonstrations, European mount demonstrations, hunting and outdoor education, archery, a BB gun shoot, outdoor games, campfire cooking, chili, local vendors and door prizes, including outdoor gear and hunting and fishing trips for kids and teens. Bring a cooler for free ice. You do not have to harvest a deer to attend or win prizes.
