TEXARKANA, TEXAS – The Texarkana Texas Police Department arrested Braylon Chatman, Dralyn Darrough, Conner Keener, Chauncey Martin, and Christian Reid, all 19, for two counts of Aggravated Robbery and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

Officers were dispatched to the report of a robbery that had occurred at an apartment complex in the 5900 block of Richmond Road on January 12. The two teenage victims reported that they had been contacted by Martin through social media about buying a vaping pen, after one of the victims posted a picture of the vaping pens and cash on Snapchat. They met Martin at the apartment complex and he got in the car with them. Seconds later, two men approached the vehicle armed with a pistol and ordered Martin out of the car. After frisking him, Martin ran from the scene. The two men then turned their attention to the victims still in the car and demanded their all property. They took a wallet containing cash belonging to one victim and a cell phone belonging to the other. Both men then fled the scene on foot with the victims’ property.

During the course of the investigation, detectives discovered evidence that indicated that Martin, who was originally considered a third victim in the robbery, had participated in the planning and implementation of the robbery. Chatman and Reid were identified as the two men who approached the victims’ car with the firearm, while Darrough and Keener waited nearby in their vehicle to pick up the other men after the robbery.

Detectives recently arrested the five men and booked them into the Bi-State Jail. A magistrate set a total bond for each man at $200,000. As of this release, all but Chatman have been released from custody after posting bond.
