Miller County Man arrested after police discover 54 marijuana plants growing in yard

Miller County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest after discovering approximately 54 marijuana plants growing in a garden at a residence in Miller County

On June 13, 2019 while working with Arkansas Community Correction Agents on an unrelated warrant service attempt, Investigator Jesse Mathis, a Miller County Investigator assigned to the Bi-State Narcotics Task Force located the plants growing in a garden at a residence on Miller County Road 373 in the Mandeville area. The plants were seized, and an investigation was initiated at that time.

On June 25, 2019 at the conclusion of the investigation, an arrest warrant was served on William Anderson Jr., 70 of Miller County. Mr. Anderson was arrested on a charge of Manufacturing a Controlled Substance. Mr. Anderson was booked into the Miller County Detention Center where he is being held pending arraignment on the charges.

The seized marijuana was valued at $54,000.00.
