UPDATE – Police have confirmed the bag contained the remains of a child who they believe to be Maleah Davis. They will be sent to the crime lab for confirmation.
Officials are trying to determine if a bag located along Interstate 30 contain the remains of 4-year-old Maleah Davis who has been missing since May 4.
The missing four-year-old’s stepfather allegedly confessed Friday to dumping the girl’s body on the side of the road.
Arkansas State Police and the FBI are currently on scene with local authorities.
A road cleanup crew reportedly discovered the bag two days ago but decided to leave it alone. Police contacted the crew for any leads which led them to this location at the Fulton exit on Interstate 30.
