Police and fire respond to bomb threat at North Heights

Texarkana, Arkansas Police and Fire Departments responded to North Heights Junior High School Wednesday evening after 9-1-1 received a bomb threat.

According to Texarkana, Ark. Police Department Public Information Officer Corporal Kristi Bennett, a call came into 9-1-1, from what sounded like a young child, advising that a bomb would go off in the school at 10 a.m. Thursday morning.

The building was searched and no device was found, Bennett said.

According to Bennett school security responded and will continue to investigate.
