Texarkana, Texas Police are asking for help identifying a suspect in a robbery attempt on the Sam’s Club parking lot last week.

On January 9, a woman was loading her purchases into her car on the south side of the building. She left her purse in the buggy while she turned to load a case of water. This guy ran past and tried to grab her purse, but she managed to get a hold of it before he could get away. He showed her that he had a gun in the waistband of his pants and threatened her, but she still refused to let go of her purse. He then ran away toward the rear of the building after she started back into the store to get help.

We have reviewed the surveillance video and were able to get these pictures of the suspect and the vehicle that he was in. Luckily, he was kind enough to return one of the electric scooters inside the store before he tried to rob this woman, so we have pictures of his face. We also know that there was another person the car with him.

If you recognize him or the vehicle, please call Texarkana, Texas Police at 903-798-3116 or CrimeStoppers at 903-793-STOP.
