Texarkana McDonald’s Raises Funds to Help Support Family of Slain Employee

The McDonald’s restaurant at 711 East 7th Street in Texarkana will donate 20% of proceeds on Wednesday, April 24 to help support the family of employee Jaqualyn Paxton. Paxton, beloved by customers at the restaurant and known for always smiling, was shot and killed early the morning of April 17 while off duty.

In addition to funds donated by the East 7th Street restaurant where she worked, other McDonald’s locations around Texarkana will have donation boxes available for individuals wishing to donate directly to help support Paxton’s family and cover funeral expenses.

19-year-old Markelle Davis has been arrested and charged with first degree murder in the death of Paxton.
