Two arrested for theft by receiving

Texarkana, Ark. police arrested 2 people early Friday morning for theft after a citizen reported rocking chair being stolen from their porch.

Early this morning TAPD Delta Squad Officers responded to the area of Parkland Street, in reference to a theft call. The reporting person advised 911 Dispatch she had observed a female take a rocking chair from her porch and drive away in a pickup truck. Officers spotted the pickup truck still in the area and conducted a traffic stop.

Inside the vehicle were 2 females; 26-year-old Samantha Hutcheson, and 22-year-old Bobbi Hyman, both of Texarkana, Texas. In the back of the truck were 2 stolen rocking chairs and a variety of outdoor fall decor. The rocking chairs were returned to the owners.

Both Hutcheson and Hyman were arrested for Theft by Receiving.
