1. Man Arrested After Making Threatening Social Media Post

The Texarkana Texas Police Department arrested Ricky Jared Rankin, 24, at his Texarkana Texas home early Tuesday afternoon for Terroristic Threats.

According to police Rankin made a post Monday night on his Instagram account that included a picture of an AR-15 assault rifle and the comment “I’m thinking about finally going back to school”. Upon seeing the post, people who know Rankin became concerned and notified the Texarkana Texas Police Department.

3. Bowie County Sheriff’s Office Makes Drug Arrest

According to Bowie County Sheriff’s Office, information was obtained that a Matthew Smith would be delivering marijuana to the Super Walmart at 4000 New Boston Road Texarkana, TX. Smith was supposed to deliver the marijuana in a white 2-door Nissan Altima that belongs to his girlfriend Cassie Rena Scott. Deputy Westin Fannin conducted surveillance on Interstate 30 westbound at Richmond Road in anticipation of the suspect vehicle.

Texarkana, Ark. Police investigated after discovering a body buried in the backyard of a home on Union Rd. in Texarkana, Ark.

The deceased was determined to be Richard York, missing since July 2017.

7. Woman shoots and kills boyfriend who was allegedly assaulting her

Bowie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman shot her boyfriend early Thursday morning.

According to the Sheriff’s Office press release, around 5:29 a.m. a 911 call was received from a distraught female saying she was being assaulted by her boyfriend and she had just shot him.

8. Three arrested for murder in early morning shooting

The Texarkana Texas Police Department has arrested three people in connection to a homicide that occurred early Saturday morning.

At approximately 3:50 AM this morning, officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 300 block of Brookwood Dr., in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival officers located Tracy Fielding, 21, of Texarkana, Texas and Vickie Simpson, 59, of Texarkana, Texas suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Fielding died at the scene as a result of his injuries. Simpson was transported to a local hospital with non-life threating injuries. Both victims lived at the residence where the shooting occurred.

9. Pharmacist accused of selling drugs

David Edward Tetreau, 33, allegedly sold multiple prescription pills, liquid codeine and marijuana to an undercover agent working with the Special Investigation Unit of the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department in April 2017, according to a probable cause affidavit. Tetreau allegedly accepted $1,100 during two buys April 24, 2017.

10. Body discovered in burned car in Texarkana

At 5:42 PM, Officers were dispatched to a report of a burnt vehicle located in the 4200 Block of Findley St. Officers located Neal in the back seat of a 4-door Mitsubishi suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The interior of the vehicle had suffered minor damage from a fire.
