A 1939 Pullman lounge train car that was located behind the Texarkana Regional Airport is being transported to Front Street where it will permanently sit.  The train car is owned by David Peavy, who also runs 1894 Ritchie Grocery, Second Saturday Trade Days, ArTex Electric Company, and Service First Electrical and Plumbing in Texarkana.  Peavy intends to transform the cart into a one-of-a-kind restaurant downtown, promoting the history of the community and the railroads that run through Texarkana.

The train car is colloquially known as the Super Chief Concho. The train traveled between Los Angeles and Chicago throughout the 1940’s.  The stainless steel car is equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, lounging area, dining area and a bar and is estimated to cost around $200,000 in renovations.
