The Alzheimer’s Alliance 4th Annual Twice as Fine Wine Festival in Texarkana was held yesterday, May 5, 2018, at Spring Lake Park Texarkana from 11:00 AM to 7 PM. The one-of-a-kind event features vendors from across the four states region selling art, clothing, food, and of course, wine!
Last year, nine thousand guests reportedly attended the wine festival. With the wonderful weather Texarkana had, numbers are surely comparable. The event is always free, but entry into the wine garden was $10, with glasses sold for $5 and bottles available for purchase. Attendance matters because all proceeds are used locally for Alzheimer’s Alliance Tri-State Area and Our Place Respite Care Center.
Terrie Arnold, Executive Director, emphasized that over 17,000 families in the four states region suffer from Alzheimer’s disease. Thankfully, our area has the Alzheimer’s Alliance and Our Place Respite Care Center as a resource.
