A multiple vehicle accident on eastbound Interstate 30 at Leary left traffic congested in both directions Tuesday evening.
The accident involved at least five vehicles and a semi-truck. C-5 volunteer fire department extricated one person from a vehicle.
According to an on scene witness a semi-truck that was forced to stop quickly for an unknown reason went into the cable barricades in the median. When the truck hit the barricades it then came back into the lanes of traffic colliding with multiple vehicles.
According to radio traffic at least three people were transported by LifeNet with unknown non life threatening injuries.
