Arconic Foundation Grants $20,000 to Texarkana College Foundation

 Workforce students at Texarkana College will have access to a new, state-of-the-art 3D printer thanks to a partnership with the Arconic Foundation. Today, the Arconic Foundation presented the Texarkana College Foundation with $20,000 to purchase the AXIOM Three-dimensional Dual Direct Printer and the EVO Additive Manufacturing Center, which will revolutionize learning for our students and community. The check presentation took place at 2 p.m. at Arconic Mill Products, 300 Alumax Rd, Nash, TX 75569.

“The donation of cutting-edge technology will make a big impact on our students,” said Brandon Washington, Dean of Workforce at Texarkana College. “We are so thankful for Arconic helping us upgrade our programs so that our graduates are trained and ready when they enter the workforce. ”

Katie Andrus, Executive Director of the TC Foundation, said this is the third year in a row that Arconic has made a grant to TC to upgrade the college’s technical training equipment.

“Arconic is a strong community workforce partner for Texarkana College,” Andrus said. “They recognize the importance of a skilled workforce and have supported our students and programs for many years.”

 The primary goal of Arconic Foundation is to advance science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education and training worldwide, with a special emphasis on engaging and creating access for underrepresented and underserved groups.  Arconic Foundation is an independently endowed foundation and is the charitable arm of Arconic Inc.
