The City of Texarkana, Texarkana Water Utilities, and Riverbend Water Resources will host a Community Water Forum on Monday, February 2, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Texarkana, Texas Convention Center.

The open-house style event is designed to provide information and answer questions related to water services, recent billing concerns, and long-term infrastructure investments. No formal presentation is planned, allowing residents to attend at any time during the two-hour window.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with staff from the City, Riverbend, and TWU for one-on-one assistance with individual accounts and questions.

Topics covered at the forum will include the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program, which aims to improve accuracy and reduce water loss while providing customers better access to usage data. Staff will also discuss TWU system improvements, upcoming water and sewer projects, and the ongoing water service line inventory being conducted throughout the utility’s distribution system.

Representatives will also be available to answer questions about the Riverbend Regional Water Infrastructure Program and its long-term benefits for the region.

Residents with questions about water bills, recent meter upgrades, or regional water projects are encouraged to attend.
