The Trinity Christian School Board has appointed Kent Mathias to the position of Interim Head of School effective February 10, 2017. Mr. Mathias is currently the Associate Pastor and Business Administrator of Trinity Baptist Church and has worked closely with the school for the past six years. He replaces Dr. Ron Fellers who recently announced his resignation to accept another position.

“I love Trinity Christian School and its mission, and I am happy to step in while the school board seeks to procure a new Head of School. Several years ago I served for three years as the principal for Trinity, so I am very familiar with the school’s systems, procedures and philosophy. My goal is to help make this a seamless transition for TCS. We have wonderful leadership in place with Mrs. Stephanie Carver serving as our school Principal, Mrs. Mary Hollensworth as our Preschool Director, and Coach Joseph Bishop as our interim Athletic Director,” said Mr. Mathias.

Mr. Mathias has an extensive Christian Education background. He holds a Bachelor’s degree as well as a Master’s degree in Christian Education and has spent over thirty years in education and administrative roles in churches. He also served as Trinity Christian School’s principal from 2012-2015. During the interim, he will continue to fulfill his responsibilities at Trinity Baptist Church.
