The Street Department is planning to begin reconstructing the section of N. Park Road from Lynn Street to the entrance into Spring Lake Park starting next Tuesday, May 21, 2019. This section will be closed to thru traffic during the day while work is taking place, with traffic reopened in the evenings.
The Texarkana, Texas Public Works department is estimating that it will take them 2 weeks to complete this section of construction, and once complete they will have the contractor lay the asphalt. Traffic will continue to be open to residents during this time.
From there, Eli street from Moores Lane and Serenity Lane will be addressed. “We are
planning on starting the first week of June, and we are estimating that it will take us 2 weeks to complete the base work for this street as well,” says Dusty Henslee, Director of Public Works.
Both projects are estimated to be complete by the middle of June, weather permitting.
