Equality Texarkana announces 3rd Annual Day of Pride event

Equality Texarkana, a locally based non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for and defending the rights of those of the LGBTQ community, as well as anyone who is affected by inequality, will be hosting their annual Day of Pride event on June 15th 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Pavilion 1 in Spring Lake Park.

This year’s family-friendly Day of Pride event will be a return to the relaxed and low-key atmosphere of the organization’s inaugural Pride Picnic. There will be free burgers, chips, and water for all who attend. There will also games, merchandise, art, and lemonade for purchase.

Equality Texarkana is the preeminent non-profit organization in the greater Texarkana area dedicated to equality. They exist to be advocates and defenders of the LGBTQ community and to stand up for anyone who is affected by inequality. With the help of allies, they strive to foster a sense of community and unity among all people through public events, education, and mental health services. Members of Equality Texarkana are committed to living a life based on respect, tolerance, and acceptance of others no matter their ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, or political affiliation.
