Fight at Electric Cowboy lands one in hospital, one in jail

Texarkana, Ark., police have charged one man with felony battery in connection with a fight at the Electric Cowboy Saturday that left another in critical condition.

Taylor Rogers, 25, has been arrested in connection with the injuries suffered Saturday by 32-year-old Jon Russell at the Texarkana nightclub, according to Texarkana, Ark., police Corporal Kristi Bennett. Police were dispatched to the Electric Cowboy at approximately 3 a.m. Saturday to assist an ambulance. Russell was unconscious when transported to St. Michael’s Hospital in Texarkana with a suspected head injury.

It was later determined that Russell suffered serious injuries and a warrant for Rodgers’ arrest was obtained. Russell is still listed in critical condition at St. Michael’s Hospital.

Rodgers faces two to ten years in prison if convicted of second degree battery.
