Firefighters extricate person from early morning wreck

5:00 a.m Monday | One person was extricated by Texarkana, Arkansas Fire Department from a single vehicle accident in the 900 block of Arkansas Blvd. early Monday morning.

According to the first Texarkana, Arkansas Police officer on scene one person was trapped in the vehicle with what appeared to be a broken leg.

The vehicle left the road for an unknown reason and crashed into a tree.

Firefighters spent about 10 minutes using hydraulic rescue tools to remove the passenger from the vehicle.

Both occupants were transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.
