Five Killed in I-30 Wreck in Hope

Tuesday, 6:45 p.m. | A Dodge van was traveling eastbound on I-30 in the right lane partially on the shoulder when it made a sudden left turn into an eighteen wheeler who was traveling eastbound in the left lane, according to theĀ Arkansas State Police Preliminary Fatal Crash Summary.

According to the summary, the truck struck the driver’s side of the van sending the van into the median.

The truck driver was not injured.

All five occupants of the van were killed. The Crash Report reports the names of the deceased as:

  • Ronald Pate, 77 years old, Bloomington, Indiana
  • Phillip Pate, 81 years old, Bloomington, Indiana
  • Connie Richards, 69 years old, Fishers, Indiana
  • Gloria Bryant, 70 years old, Solsberry, Indiana
  • Donna J. Pate, 75 years old, Solsberry, Indiana
