The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a freeze warning which is in effect from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday.

A tight pressure gradient will persist across the southern plains and lower Mississippi Valley today in wake of a cold frontal passage friday night and early this morning. Winds will diminish late this afternoon and this evening as high pressure builds southeast into the region. Colder and drier air will spill southeast in wake of the front today and tonight with temperatures expected to fall to or slightly below freezing late tonight over Mccurtain county Oklahoma and adjacent sections of southwest Arkansas.
