Green Texarkana, the monthly recycling event hosted by the City of Texarkana, Arkansas, will be this Saturday, July 9th.
Green Texarkana takes place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday at East Third and Hazel Streets.
This program is free and provides recycling for paper, cardboard, plastics and metal cans. Please have metals cans and plastic film, such as grocery bags, bagged separately. These items go to different processors for recycling.
Recycling is also available for TVs, computers, printers, cell phones and other electronics.
This program is not for hazardous materials like glass, styrofoam, tires, fluorescent lights or paint, and is not a disposal for commercial waste.
