After being closed for two weeks due to flooding caused by the Red River Highway 71 reopened early Sunday morning.
According to TxDOT The Red River crossing at US 259 north of De Kalb, TX remains closed due to damages caused by the floodwaters on both the Texas and Oklahoma sides of the river. This highway is expected to remain closed for several more days until repairs are completed.
